Research based

Using characters and actions to teach phonics is supported by scientic research. The Letterland system is also in-line with research on memory and the way we learn. Each Letterland character is a predictable personality living in a realistic enviorement filled with alliterative objects. By intergrating phonics with life experience, they provide children with a systematic and motivating framework for learning all 44 sounds and their spelling and for developing full literacy.

Letterland Phonics

Letterland is a unique, phonics -based approach to teaching reading, writing and spelling to 3-8 year olds. Its information-rich Letterland characters transform plain black letter shapes into child-friendly pictogram characters, who live in an imaginary place called Letterland.

By translating the full range of dry phonic facts into engaging stories, children are motivated to Listen, to Think and to learn. These stories explained letter shapes and sounds and quickly develop into word building, reading and writing.
